Palworld 1.0: All Tower Bosses & Where to Find Them
Posted by Dals | 14 July 2026
As of the Palworld 1.0 update, the game currently has 9 tower bosses to challenge. Each has had a pass through their abilities and tower designs, and is worth exploring fresh even if you've beat them in the past! We'll help cover these bosses, in their ideal order, and where you can find each.

Zoe & Grizzbolt
The 'first' tower boss in the game is an Zoe, alongside her signature Pal, Grizzbolt!
This is a level 10 boss fight to get you started off if you challenge the Rayne Syndicate tower.
TIPS: Zoe & Grizzbolt are an Electric type boss, making them weak to Ground type attacks. You can hide behind pillars scattered around the arena to defend from their attacks, and strike back when they focus on your pal(s)!

Lily & Lyleen
The second tower boss in level-order is Lily (alongside her signature pal, Lyleen). As a step up from Zoe & Grizzbolt, these two are a level 20 boss fight.
TIPS: Lily & Lyleen are a Grass type boss, so try to bring Fire type pals for an extra advantage! The greatest strength of these two is their ability to heal - so no need to think deeply, here. Deal as much damage as you can, as fast as possible!

Axel & Orserk

The level 30 tower boss duo to challenge is made up of Axel & Orserk! Don't be fooled by these two taking up base in a lava-filled mountain - they're actually an electric + dragon-type boss. The first dual-type boss you'll encounter! You'll want to prepare some heat-resistant clothes before you head there due to the environment.
Thanks to their dual-typing, these two are also weak to two elements. In this case, they are weak to Ground (against Electric) and Ice (against Dragon).
TIPS: The greatest threat of Axel & Orserk is their close-range attacks! Try to keep your distance and attack once they're done with their own attack cycle, and you should be able to whittle their health down.

Marcus & Faleris

The level 40 tower boss you'll encounter is the duo of Marcus & Faleris! This is a Fire-type boss located in the deserts of the right side of the map, making them extremely weak to Water type attacks.
You'll want to keep your heat-resistant equipment on your from your fight against Axel & Orserk, as these two are located in a scorching desert of their own. This is a super 'direct' boss battle that will put your actual fighting skills to the test, and won't rely as much on gimmicks like hiding behind pillars.
TIPS: Bring a water type pal to be able to beat Marcus & Faleris far more easily! Certain pals like Jormuntide are super strong options to catch and train up for the fight if you have the chance.

Victor & Shadowbeak

At level 50, you'll be right on track to challenge the fifth boss of the game, Victor & Shadowbeak! These two are located at in the snowy islands at the top (northmost) area of the map, and are a dark type duo. Try to bring cold resistant equipment so you can make your way through the tundra!
To counter their typing, you'll want to try to bring a dragon-type pal of some kind. If you picked up Jormuntide for the previous boss, they'll be a perfect fir here as well.
TIPS: One of your biggest challenges for this fight is going to be beating Victor & Shadowbeak before the 5-minute timer for the battle expires. The best strategy for being able to consistently deal damage during the limited time is to bring powerful ranged weapons with you to shoot from afar with.

Saya & Selyne

This 6th boss marks the first time the level between bosses did not jump by 10! These two sit at just level 55, and are actually also purely dark type. As a result, you could even keep the same team you used to challenge Victor & Shadowbeak to clear Saya & Selyne without too much more effort.
They're actually pretty close to the previous boss as well, sitting off on the island at the north-west corner of the map.
TIPS: The main threat to watch out for in this fight comes from Selyne's large beam attacks. You have more tools to get away, especially now thanks to the combat changes in Palworld 1.0, but your pal may not! Don't be afraid to quickly recall your pal to avoid beam attacks and redeploy them after the attack has finished.

Bjorn & Bastigor

It's then time for the last pre-1.0 boss of the game! Bjorn & Bastigor sit at level 60 on the bottom-left island on the map.
This duo is a pure ice-type challenge, so you can bring back any Fire type pals you've caught along the way, or hold onto the ones you used earlier in the fight against Lily & Lyleen!
TIPS: The main trick to this fight is avoiding the enemy's big area attacks. These can freeze you and deal massive damage, and will quickly be your downfall if you aren't proactive about dodging them. Similar to the fight against Saya, don't be afraid to recall your pals to help them avoid attacks as well.

Auri & Shaolong

Finally* (more on this later), you have the latest tower battle duo in the game, Auri & Shaolong! In order to challenge this level 68 duo, you will need to do a quest in the new Sunreach region first. This requires you to disable six defense modules around the region to get rid of a whirlwind barrier around her tower.
Once you're in, you'll be met with another dual-type battle! These two are both water and dragon type. This means that the best elements for pals to give you an advantage are Electric & Ice.
BONUS: Once you've defeated these two, as the last main tower boss duo of the game, you'll be able to challenge the hard mode version of all of the other tower bosses in the game! So you won't be done just yet.
Zanara & Astralym
By now, you've finished off all of the tower battles/leaders in the game. But by far, the largest thing towering over the map is the great world tree.
To get here, you'll need to complete the core quests surrounding the "Sealed Calamity" missions, and unlock access to the tree. Once inside, you will find a level 80 boss with no elemental type. This is the largest jump between two tower* bosses in the game, and has absolutely no elemental weakness.
Ironically, this also means the most challenging battle in the game is a pure test of your team and the limits of your skill. There's no secret tactic or trick to overcoming its attacks, so be on top of your dodging, and remember the tricks about pal recalls if they're struggling to avoid the attacks themselves. These two will be your greatest challenge in the game yet.

If looking for some more practice before challenging them, don't be afraid to try taking on the hard mode versions of the previous tower battles as well!
