Palworld 1.0: All New Ice Type Pals & Where to Find Them

Following up on our previous post going over some of the newest Ground-type Pals in Palworld 1.0, we'll go over the new Ice-type Pals as well! Just as before, some location information may be accredited to community-driven maps & resources which you may find helpful as you explore the Palpagos Islands on your own as well!

Beakon Cryst

Element(s): Ice

Rideable? Yes

• Partner Skill(s): Changed the mounted player's attack element to Ice, and increases Attack damage by 5-20%. Movement speed is also increased be 5-25% based on how many other Ice-type pals are in your party.

• Where to Find Beakon Cryst: Beakon Cryst can be found in the icy north-western region within the World Tree, spawning just about anywhere throughout the biome.

Elgrove Cryst

Element(s): Ice

Rideable? No

• Partner Skill(s): If Elgrove Cryst is in your party, you are given the ability to apply the Freeze status to any soaked enemies in one hit.

• Where to Find Elgrove Cryst: Elgrove Cryst follolws the same spawning rules and logic as Beakon Cryst, also being another variant of an alternate Pal. They can be found in the north-western icy biome in the World Tree.

Moldron Cryst

Element(s): Ice / Ground

Rideable? Yes

• Partner Skill(s): While in party, improves Ice-type damage to enemy weak points by 25-40% by the player and other Pals.

  Where to Find Moldron Cryst: Moldron Cryst is another alpha boss in the world tree, located in the icy region between Forbidden Laboratory and Within the Seal.

Muffly

Element(s): Ice

Rideable? No

• Partner Skill(s): Increases the capture rate on Pals that are afflicted with the Freeze effect.

• Where to Find Muffly: Muffly can be found all around Lily & Lyleen's region near the center of the map, or just north of the boss tower of Zoe & Grizzbolt!

Pierdon Cryst

Element(s): Ice

Rideable? No

• Partner Skill(s): Players take 15-30% less damage from Dragon-type attacks while Pierdon Cryst is in their party.

• Where to Find Pierdon Cryst: Pierdon Cryst can be found in the new aerial region presided over by Auri & Shaolong. They will spawn most frequently around the core island with Auri's boss tower.

Polapup Terra

Element(s): Ice / Ground

Rideable? No

• Partner Skill(s): Movement speed is increased by 80-160% while mounted in snow. May slide quickly down slopes/hills.

• Where to Find Polapup Terra: Polapup Terra can be found at the extreme western-most area of the Palpagos Islands on the icy island on the edge of the available map.

Rayhound Cryst

Element(s): Ice

Rideable? Yes

• Partner Skill(s): While mounted/riding, allows you to double-jump. Also increases defense of Ice-type pals by 15-30% while in your party.

• Where to Find Rayhound Cryst: Rayhound Cryst will spawn on the far west & east ends of the snowy island in the north of the main Palpagos Islands, in the same region as Victor & Shadowbeak.

Smokie Cryst

Element(s): Ice / Dark

Rideable? No

• Partner Skill(s): While working at your base, Smokie Cryst will increase the Cooling-type work suitability of all other pals by 1.

• Where to Find Smokie Cryst: Smokie Cryst is hidden off to the small island on the far west edge of the Palpagos Islands, on the same islet where you can find Dualith Noct.

Snugloo

Element(s): Ice

Rideable? No

• Partner Skill(s): Reduces the chance of being seen/detected by enemies while in party.

• Where to Find Snugloo: Snugloo can be found in the snow-tipped mountains in the otherwise empty region to the southeast of Marcus & Faleris's desert area.

Univolt Cryst

Element(s): Ice

Rideable? Yes

• Partner Skill(s): Changes the player's attack type to Ice and increases total attack by 5-20% while mounted on Univolt Cryst.

• Where to Find Univolt Cryst: You can find the Cryst variant of Univolt in the World Tree, all throughout the north-western snow biome.
