The pixel art chickens are called Shermans. Kinetic Hosting’s core team came over from a modded Minecraft network called Kinetic Network, and the Shermans came with us. The Shermans used to be on servers as mobs you could collect; over time, people who played on the network made their own Shermans and set them as their profile images. As they got more popular on the network, we hid them around the sites and in artwork for fun. This carried over into hosting, with us keeping the Sherman profile images and still hiding them around our sites. While not company policy, as new people joined the team they made their own Shermans and set them as their profile images. So everyone at Kinetic has their own pixel art chicken.
