Palworld 1.0: All New Dragon-Type Pals & Where to Find Them
Posted by Dals | 22 July 2026
Dragon-type Pals saw the fewest additions to the roster in Palworld over the course of the 1.0 update, but also some of the most notable! It's clear that Pocketpair had the goal of making each new Dragon-type Pal feel extravagant and powerful in its own way, and they definitely succeeded!
We'll help cover how you can locate these new Dragon-type pals and what they do. Some location data may be attributed to community-run map services/resources, such as the one found here. The Palworld community is awesome, and continues to put together information based on their own playthroughs to help others out. You may find it helpful to take a look at the complete map there for your own playthrough as well!
Aegidron

Element(s): Dragon / Ground

Rideable? Yes
Partner Skill(s): While in a party, the player and other pals take 60-80% less damage from explosive attacks, and are immune to Stun effects.
Passive Skill(s): +20 Defense & Immune to Knockback
Where to Find Aegidron: Aegidron is an Alpha boss, so it has a pre-set location! You can find this pal after unlocking the world tree region by traveling up north of the Lacrymal Shoal fast-travel point.
Eidrolon

Element(s): Dragon / Dark
Rideable? Yes

Partner Skill(s): For every other Dragon/Dark type Pal in your party, the attack and movement speed of Eidrolon will increase by 2-6%.
Where to Find Eidrolon: Eidrolon can be tricky to find! They're very specific in their spawning location. In order to find them, you'll want to head to the southern-most islet in the new Sunreach region (the same territory where you can find Auri & Shaolong). Head to the mountain/protruding area to the south-east of the fast travel point, and you should find Eidrolon nested in the center.
NOTE: You can also find Eidrolon in the eastern biome of the World Tree, along the paths to the west of the fast travel point the furthest east on the map. But this is much later in the game, so Sunreach can be quicker!
Eidrolon Ignis

Element(s): Dragon / Fire

Rideable? Yes
Partner Skill(s): For every other Dragon/Fire type Pal in your party, the attack and movement speed of Eidrolon Ignis will increase by 2-6%.
Where to Find Eidrolon Ignis: Unlike regular Eidrolon, you won't be able to find Eidrolon Ignis in the main Palpagos Islands. This time, you'll have to travel to the World Tree in order to find them. Once there, the skeletal / red biome at the north-east of the map will allow for Eidrolon Ignis to spawn, mostly along the path of the massive skeleton in the middle of the biome.
Shaolong

Element(s): Dragon / Water

Rideable? Yes
Partner Skill(s): For each other Dragon-type pal in your party, Shaolong's attack is increased by 4-8%.
Where to Find Shaolong: Shaolong can be found exclusively within be World Tree, and is scattered throughout the more central area of the map. Many of you may recognize the dragon from the original reveal trailer for Palworld 1.0, which teased a fight against Shaolong before we originally knew its identity!
With the exception of Aegidron, you'll notice that all the other new Dragon-type pals heavily encourage you to build a full team of Dragon-types. This makes it especially worth-while to head to each of these locations and try to collect one of each to potentially use in your teams!
