Palworld x Terraria – Tides of Terraria Update Breakdown
Posted by Chris | 18 August 2025
The Tides of Terraria update is here, and it’s the biggest change Palworld has seen yet. Version 0.6.0 adds a full crossover with Terraria, along with game-changing systems like fishing, new islands, enemy bases, and raid bosses.
If you're running a Palworld server — or thinking about it — this update gives players a ton more reasons to dive back in. Here's everything you need to know about what's new in Palworld 0.6.0.
Terraria Crossover – Moon Lord, Weapons, and More
This isn’t just a cosmetic nod to Terraria — it’s a full-blown crossover event.
Terraria Dungeon: A brand-new underground zone filled with familiar Terraria mobs.
Moon Lord Raid Boss: Team up with friends to take down one of Terraria’s toughest bosses, now in 3D.
Crossover Items:
6 new Terraria weapons
7 new Terraria armor sets
These can be crafted, equipped, and used just like standard gear — bringing that pixel-style chaos into Palworld's open-world madness.
Fishing System & Ocean Loot
You can now relax (or grind) with the new fishing mechanic.
Catch various Palworld fish across different biomes
Use bait, fishing rods, and find rare catches
Discover ocean salvage nodes — glowing dive spots where players can find loot and crafting resources
It’s a much-needed chill activity between boss fights and base raids.
New Islands & Exploration Zones
The world of Palworld just got way bigger. Three new major islands were added:
Tropical Island – Bright, dense, and loot-heavy
Iceberg Island – Slippery slopes and hostile wildlife
Shipwreck Island – Ruined ships, salvage gear, and hidden treasures
Each comes with new Pals, loot tables, and biome hazards. Great for advanced players or those wanting to explore off-grid.
Enemy Bases & Blueprints
The update adds hostile NPC faction camps — similar to outposts in other survival games.
Defeat enemy factions to gain unique blueprints and high-end items
These camps are repeatable but scale in difficulty
Expect guards, turrets, and defensive Pals
This gives players a proper reason to roam the map beyond just catching Pals.
Pal Trust System
Your Pals now have loyalty progression. The more you work with them, the stronger your bond becomes.
New “Trust” stat added to Pal UI
Better trust = higher combat and utility bonuses
Unlock advanced abilities as your bond grows
It adds a Pokémon-style emotional attachment to your strongest companions.
Arena Mode & Challenges
The new Arena Mode is perfect for solo challenges or flexing your Pal builds.
Fight waves of enemies in closed arenas
Leaderboards may be added in future updates
Great way to test your strategy without risking open-world progress
Base & UI Improvements
This update also brings major QoL changes:
Pal Presets – Save/load specific Pal loadouts
Bulk Storage Buildings – Better item sorting
Clean UI Overhaul – HP bars, tooltips, and menus feel smoother
New Buildings: Fishing pond, surgery table, large incubator, and more
Building and managing your base feels more fluid now — no more menu mess.
Quick Bugfix: v0.6.1 Patch (June 27)
Shortly after launch, a v0.6.1 hotfix resolved:
Pal Preset bugs
Server crash issues
Xbox/PS5 auto-save instability (still being patched)
Server hosts should already be running this version by default.
