Everything Coming in the Palword 1.0 Update

The massive Palworld 1.0 update is coming on July 10, 2026. Full patch notes will be available when the update releases, but here's what we know so far!

New Pals

Over 20 new pals have been teased so far by the team behind Palworld on social media, but some of the most exciting additions have already been shown off in the trailer for the update!

The new pals revealed in the trailer for version 1.0 cover a ton of range, including:

• A massive sky dragon

• A mysterious pal guarding over the world tree

• A new dragon which shoots fire

• A cute panda companion pal

• A giant whale

• A swordfish that can be used as an actual sword!

Tower Bosses & Sanctuaries

According to Palworld's official account on Twitter/X, boss towers will also be reworked in version 1.0 of the game!

Players can expect the new bosses to be "more dynamic and engaging," though specifics haven't yet been revealed. Based on the way the developers have spoken about the changes, though, it's safe to assume that you'll need to totally new strategies to approach each boss with new and unique mechanics.

Towers aren't the only area being reworked, though, as wildlife sanctuaries are also being overhauled! These areas around the map are set to have their terrain and landscapes overhauled to make sure each feel unique with their own materials, rare pals, and new bosses!

World & Story Expansion

Following the pattern of diversifying the world of Palworld, the version 1.0 update promises completely new areas to explore around the island! Most notably, it seems like players will finally get to explore the world tree that has been looming over the map ever since the game first released.

These new areas will come alongside story missions to help flesh out the lore of the world and discovering more secrets about the nature of pals and the tower bosses that fight for control with them. Existing regions will also be fleshed out, diversified, and expanded to fit the growing narrative for the game, too.

New Building Tools

New structure sets, decorations, and building parts are also being added in the new update!

One of the most prominent changes is the addition of water-based building! Finally, players will be able to build on top of water neatly using the new furniture and foundations

No-Hunting Zone

The No-Hunting zone in the map has been overhauled into unique, varied environments as special challenges for players.

Pocketpair promises an extra-difficult, "MAX danger level" are with an especially powerful boss that you can take on to uncover rare Pals, loot, and other rewards!

Palworld 1.0 is set to completely redefine the way you explore and interact with the Palpagos Islands and world. For the best experience possible, Pocketpair highly recommends that players start up a new save for the update.

Existing saves should still be compatible, but won't get the fullest experience with the overhauled world and effort that has gone into making every region as unique as possible.
