A Guide to Elements in Palworld (Advantages & Weaknesses)

Palworld currently boasts 9 elemental types for Pals, all with their own unique advantages and disadvantages.

As a quick cheat-sheet for what elements/Pal types are strong or weak against the others, we've broken things down in an organized guide!

Type Chart

The below chart breaks down the effectiveness of various elemental attacks against defending types. For example, if a Fire type attack is used against another Fire type Pal, that attack will only deal 1/2 damage or effectiveness.

Ability Notes

• If you use an ability/skill that matches the type of the Pal you're attacking with, the attack will receive a bonus to its damage. So if you attack using a Fire-type skill with a Fire-type Pal, it will deal extra damage compared to an Ice-type skill from the same Pal, even if the base damage for both is equal.

• Elements will always be half-damage/effectiveness against Pals of the same type (ie. Ice attack being used on an Ice type Pal)

• If a Pal has multiple elements (ie. Fire + Ground), they will be take on the weaknesses and resistances of both elements at the same time.
