What was in Minecraft Live 2026?

This past weekend Mojang had the most recent Minecraft Live, announcing the next 2 updates and a bunch of new projects they’ve been working on, keep reading to find out more!

Tiny Takeover

Tiny Takeover is the newest Minecraft Update, updating all of the Baby Animal/ Creature models to be unique, whereas they were just smaller versions of the adult animals previously.

Each baby mob comes with it’s own unique look and noises which were recorded from the real animals.

New Minecraft Experiences

There is a new Minecraft experience coming to Herning, Singapore, Mexico City and Chicago called the “Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue” which is a unique interactive experience. Work has also started on another experience that takes place in a real Forest, the “Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail” which is an outdoor nighttime adventure that will open soon in Buenos Aires, travelling to other cities over time.

Minecraft World

Mojang have been working with Merlin Entertainments to create Minecraft World, a Theme park that will be opening in London’s Chessington World of Adventures in 2027.

Minecraft world will be packed with attractions and things to do. They’re planning the first ever Minecraft rollercoaster, the world's biggest Minecraft shop, tasty Minecraft-themed food, opportunities to meet the mobs and lots more. This will be a truly epic collaboration between Mojang Studios and Merlin Entertainments but they have also recruited creators to help with some of the trickier challenges.

Chaos Cubed

Chaos Cubed is the second update Mojang will release in 2026, adding the Sulphur Caves, two new block types with full pallets, The Sulphur block and the Cinnabar Blocks and a new mob, the Sulphur Cube, a slime adjacent mob that’s similar to a hockey puck, if you right-click a block into the mob it takes specific attributes. There are too many interactions to mention so you’ll just need to experiment with it!

Minecraft Dungeons II

The second installment of the Minecraft Dungeons games is coming this year, focusing more on the Deep Dark Portal, not much is known about it yet but more information will be shared regarding it soon.
