New Features

Camel Husk

The husk is a mob that has been around for the past few years, being the Zombie variant in the desert, but Mojang has decided that they need a mount! Any Husk that spawns atop a Camel Husk will be equipped with a spear.

The Camel Husk itself is the same as the camel besides it’s look and the fact that it can spawn with two riders.

Parched

The Parched has the same properties as the Husk, it is immune to sunlight, but besides that it is essentially the same as a typical skeleton.

Nautilus

The Nautilus is a mountable mob that spawns in the ocean biome, it has a regular version and an Undead version, the Undead version can spawn with a Drowned atop of, the drowned always has a Trident equipped.

There is a rare variant of the Nautilus that is supposedly difficult to find so, happy hunting!

Zombie Horse

Yes, we hear you, the Zombie Horse has been in the game for a long, long, long time, but until now, it has been a creative-mode only creature! It did not naturally generate, only spawnable with a spawn egg.

This creature can be found at night roaming the Forest and Plain’s biomes, though it isn’t alone, it has a Zombie riding on it with a spear!

Spear

The Spear is a new tiered weapon coming to Minecraft, meaning it can be crafted with Wood, Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond and it can be upgraded to Netherite! The spear has two attacks: A Jab attack and a Charge attack. The charge attack is particularly interesting as it deals more damage depending on the speed that you are moving.

The Spear also comes with a unique enchantment, called Lunge. Lunge gives the player an extra burst of speed which is strong enough to knock a rider from its mount.

New Version Naming Scheme

Mojang have changed their numbering scheme so it no long goes through the 1.21.1 -> 1.21.2 system, it will now go depending on the year the update has been released as you can see in the above image.

This will make it easier for people to decipher between versions.
