How to Ride Pokemon in Cobblemon 1.7+

After you've built up a team of your own in Cobblemon, it might be time to get a bit closer to the creatures that battle alongside you. In Cobblemon version 1.7 and above, you can ride some of your Pokemon either on land, through water, or in the sky!

How to Ride a Pokemon in Cobblemon

Make Sure You Have the Right Version

First, you'll want to make sure you're on a compatible version! Cobblemon 1.7 is the update that added the ability to ride or mount your party members, so any versions before that would require an additional mod, such as the CobblemonRider mod.

Mount Your Cobblemon

Once you know you have the right version, it's time to mount a Pokemon! To do this:

1. Send the Pokemon you want to ride out (it can be sent out onto land or in water).

2. Sneak (Shift) + Right Click the Pokemon in the world, which will open the interact menu.

3. From the Interact menu, select the Ride option.

If you don't see the Ride option, the Pokemon you've selected may not be rideable.

Cobblemon Mount Controls

The way your mount moves matches Minecraft itself pretty well, so it shouldn't feel too jarring! This includes:

• Steering: WASD (W, A, S, & D)

• Turning: Regular mouse look/movements

• Jump/Ascend: Spacebar / Jump

• Descend: Shift / Sneak (this won't dismount you!)

• Dismount: Shift / Sneak + R
