The story of Tangofrags | From FPS Competitor, to Minecraft Content Creator

Before streaming Minecraft, Tangofrags was primarily known as an FPS (First Person Shooter) content creator on Twitch and YouTube. Having stepped back from competitive Apex Legends, Tango shifted his focus towards Minecraft-oriented content. Since then, Tango’s community has grown significantly, reaching over 16K followers on Twitch and attracting hundreds of active viewers per stream.

Over the last two years, we’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Tangofrags on various projects, from building community servers to supporting subathons. Recently, we had the chance to sit down with him to discuss challenges, solutions, and his vision for the next few years.

The Challenge

Q: What challenges were you facing running games servers for your community?

A: Tango: "Providing lag free servers so that my players would be able to enjoy a smooth experience on some of the heaviest modpacks"

Q: How has Kinetic Hosting assisted overcome those challenges?

A: Tango: "Kinetic has provided my servers with constant hardware updates, as with their public server offerings to ensure that we are always on some of the best hardware we can be on."

Our note: Our goal is to always treat our Client and Partners fair. Providing the same hardware that our Partners have access to for our clients as well, this builds a streamline process to allow our Partners to promote the product they are promoting to their audience.

The Future

Q: What does the Future look like for you running a Community Server? What are the plans that you have in mind?

A: Tango: "Hopefully finding a nice niche community minecraft modpack that we can expand to multiple servers and network them together to create an even larger community"

Our note: Community is what is important, Tangofrags has cultivated an engaging community around playing games and interacting with one another, with creating a server like this, it can make the community stronger.

Q: How can we further support your content creation and community engagement efforts?

A: Tango: "Continue to provide amazing services and support, there is not really much i would want more from kinetic as they have always been receptive to any requirements thus far"
