How To Change A Minecraft Servers View Distance

View Distance works the same as your client would. However, on a Multiplayer Server, you can limit how far the player can see. If you have a higher View Distance for an example, the server will need to process that harder than if the View Distance was set to a lower number.

In this guide

Changing The View Distance

By default, your servers view distance will be set to 10. To change this value, follow the instructions below:

  1. Login to the Kinetic Panel

  2. Open your settings page.

  3. Click on the "Server Properties" tab.

  4. In the search bar, type "view-distance". You can then change the view distance value to anything you wish.

  5. Once you've made your changes, click the "Save" icon.
