How To Install Pufferfish On A Minecraft Server

Installing pufferfish via the Version Installer

  1. Stop your server by clicking the power button, then click the square icon.

  2. Locate and access your Version Installer.

  3. In the version dropdown, scroll down and select "Puffer".

  4. After you've selected Puffer, look over to the right, and select what version of Minecraft you'd like to install Pufferfish for.

  5. After you've clicked "Install Version", you'll be met with a pop-up, asking you if you'd like to create an instance.
    An instance is similar to a backup, so if something goes wrong after the installation of pufferfish, you can revert your changes back the servers original files and settings.
    Once you've made your decision, click "Install".

  6. Once the installation has complete, you should be able to see that Puffer has been installed as well as the Minecraft version within the version installer menu.

  7. You can now start your server by clicking the power button, then clicking the play button.

Installing Pufferfish manually

Download the version you need from here: https://pufferfish.host/downloads

  1. Login to the Kinetic Panel.

  2. Stop your server by clicking the power button, then click the square icon.

  3. Go to your file manager.

  4. Move your original server.jar file to your Recycle Bin by right clicking the file, and then clicking "Move to Recycle Bin"

    When clicking "Move to Recycle Bin", the file will not be permanently delete the file. Instead, it will move the file to your Recycle Bin, where you'll be able to recover the file if you wish.
  5. Upload the PufferFish Jar that you downloaded by either dragging and dropping the file into your main directory, or click "Upload" on the top right corner to select the PufferFish jar you with to upload.

  6. After you've uploaded your Pufferfish Jar, Rename the Pufferfish Jar by right clicking the jar file, then click "rename". Then, set the file name to server.jar, and click "Rename"

  7. Start your server by clicking the power button, then click the play button.
