Using the version installer to install Paper on your server

  1. Stop your server but pressing the power button of the top-right side of the panel, then clicking the square icon.

  2. Click "Version Installer" on the left side of the panel.

  3. Once you're in the version installer menu, click the drop down menu on the "Filter Versions" box. From there, click "Paper".

  4. Once you've selected Paper, look over to the right side of the screen. Here, you can search which Minecraft version you want to install Paper for. In this case, we'll be installing Paper for Minecraft 1.21.11. After you've decided what version you'd like to install, click the "Install Version" button.

  5. After you've clicked the "Install Version" Button, you'll be met with this screen. Here, you have the option to create an instance before installing Paper. An instance is similar to a backup, where you can roll back your servers settings to what it was before installing Paper, in case something goes wrong. You don't have to select the "Create Instance" box if you don't want to.
After you've decided on creating an instance or not, click the "Install" button.

  6. When the installation has completed, your "Version Installer" menu will change, showing you what version of Paper is installed on your server.

  7. After these steps have been completed, you can now start your server by clicking the power button, then pressing the play button.

Installing Manually

  1. Download the version of paper you need from the Official Paper Site

  2. Go to file manager.

  4. Once you've clicked the "Upload button", you'll be met with a menu to either drag-and-drop files into, or you can click "Browse Files" and select the paper.jar file you downloaded.

  5. Once the paper.jar file is uploaded to your file manager, you will first need to delete your existing server.jar file by right clicking the server.jar file, and then clicking "Move To Recycle Bin".

  6. After you've deleted your Server.jar file, you will need to rename your paper.jar file to server.jar. To do this, right click your paper jar file, and click "rename"

  7. After that, rename of the paper jar file as server.jar, and click "Rename"

  8. Once you've made this change, you can now start your server.
