How To Disable Minecraft Server Watchdog

Last updated 05 Feb 2026

Need a Minecraft server?

Spin one up fast with our feature-rich panel and seriously low prices.

Every server doesn't need Watchdog disabled. However, in some cases it can assist with finding the actual cause of a crashing server.

  1. Login to the Kinetic Panel

  2. Stop your server by clicking the power button, then click the square icon.

  3. Locate and open your settings page.

  4. In the settings menu, click the "Server Properties" tab.

  5. You will now find a search bar at the top of the screen. Here, search "max-tick-time", and you'll then find the setting.

  6. In the max tick time setting box, replace the existing value with "-1". This will deactivate watchdog.

  7. Make sure to save the changes by click the "Save" button on the top right on the screen.

  8. That's it! All you have to do now is start your server by clicking the power button, and then clicking the play button.
