How to Setup A Custom Server Domain

SRV Record

If you own your own domain, this section will show you how to use your Domain. We will be using Cloudflare as our provider of choice.

Select the domain you wish to use and click on "Add Record".

Now, you'll want your record to be "SRV". This is if you don't have a Dedicated IP.

The "Name" field will be:

_minecraft._tcp.<subdomain>

- If you wanted your server to be play.yourdomain.com for an example, you'll put minecraft.tcp.play

Priority and Weight can be any number you would like, we prefer using "1"

TTL should be set to Auto.

Port will be your servers port, this can be found on the Overview page.

For the Target, this will most likely be the Node you are on then adding .kineticpanel.net at the end of it. The Node you are placed on is on the Overview page. Example: ca-i5-a.kineticpanel.net would be the Target.

Once everything is completed, you should have something similar to the image below.

A Record

If you have dedicated IP, you can set your servers port to 25565. This means you can use an A Record

Select A Record from the drop down.

Set the host that what ever you want. So if you want play.yourdomain.com set it to play. Set the IP to your server and leave the final box.

That's it, you're all set.
