The old man’s map turned out to be correct - it led us straight to the wizard. It wasn’t an easy trek, though. Along the way, we encountered an old crone who refused to let us cross her bridge until we completed a quest. Her request was simple enough: rid her town of the bandits who had been ransacking it. After some extremely heroic fighting (and absolutely no panic), we dealt with the bandits. As a reward, the crone allowed us to cross her bridge and gifted us her right-hand man, Tony. It quickly became clear that Tony was not a gift… but a burden. The rest of the journey involved frequent stops to help Tony retrieve dropped items, get back on his feet, or generally exist safely. When we finally tracked down the wizard and began sneaking up on him, Tony tripped into a nearby pig trough, producing a noise that could only be described as “impossible to ignore”. The wizard escaped in the confusion. Unfortunately, we couldn’t give chase - we were too busy stopping Tony from drowing. So… thanks, Tony. The hunt continues. Panel 6.8 has rolled out on all nodes
