SFTP, FTP, FTPS?

If you’ve been with another host before, you likely know FTP. Our panel uses SFTP. This works mostly the same but encrypts your authentication and data files.

Let’s Get Started

  1. The easiest way to get started with SFTP on our panel, is by going here, to the SFTP menu on the panel.

  2. In the first step, you'll see your SFTP information. You will need to make a note of this information as it will be required later.

  3. The next step will provide information about what SFTP is, and why it's used.

  4. On the final step, you need to choose which SFTP software you wish to use. Each button will have a link, or you can use our Web SFTP.

Once your SFTP Client of your choice is downloaded, you should see a connection screen.

FileZilla

Logging In

1. Head to your file manager, and you'll find a "SFTP" button on the top right.

2. You should now see your SFTP connection details.

SFTP INFO

3. For File Zilla, the host will be the Connection Address. The Username will be the Username, the Port will be what you see on the panel within that page. The Password field will be the Password you use to login to the Kinetic Panel.

From there, you should be logged into the SFTP client of your choice.

Uploading your files.

When uploading your files, you will drag them into the empty space on the right hand side, make sure you do not highlight a folder when uploading.

The file may take a bit of time to upload depending on your internet connection. On the bottom of the screen, you can see Queued files, Failed transfers & Successful Transfers. When everything is finished uploading, the Queue will stop and display in the Successful box.

Once everything is uploaded, make sure you have your settings correctly set. You can view our Getting Started sections here on the Knowledgebase for more information for the game you run.

From there, you should be all set! If you have any questions Make sure to Submit a Ticket for assistance.
