Installing mods on a Hytale Server

Modding Hytale is nice and simple. Mods only need to be installed server side, so as a server owner you can install mods, then when your player join they will be auto downloaded to their client.

There are two ways you can install mods to your hytale server. Uploading them via the files manager, or using the Kinetic Panels mod installer.

Mod Installer

In the in the left menu under installers you'll see the page hytale mod installer

Here you can find all mods that have been uploaded to Curse Forge. Select your mod, then the version, then press download. This will download the mod to your mods folder. Reboot the server to apply the mod. Keep in mind, some mods might be removed from the Curse API, so you might need to upload them via the file manager

Uploading Mods

To upload mods to your server head to the file manager. In here you'll find a folder called mods. All mods should be a jar or zip folder, don't unarcive the zips, keep them as zip files. Once you've uplaoded all your files, reboot the server.
